( project 01. ) Global Citizen
Global Citizen mobilises millions of people and brings business, entertainment, policy, government and philanthropy together to push for policy change and investment against extreme poverty. For its German programme I run communication strategy, campaigns, influencer relations and the articles that explain what is at stake.

The brief
Development cooperation in Germany is under pressure. The federal budget for development has fallen for seven years in a row, global aid dropped by more than 7% in 2024, and every budget round turns it into a political fight. Global Citizen needed people to understand why these funds matter, and to act on it: sign, write to their member of parliament, speak up before the vote.
My job is to turn each budget decision, summit or election into something people can follow and respond to, in German and English, on every channel the movement uses.
The hard part
Development funding is politically charged, and every message lands with governments, activists and the public at once.
I lead with impact rather than politics. Instead of arguing about budget lines, the articles show what this money has achieved for global health, climate action and the rights of women and girls, then and now. That keeps the conversation human, keeps the facts exact, and still ends with a clear thing to do.
